Girl escapes kidnappers

A 17-year-old girl escaped from three men who tried to kidnap her while she was waiting for the bus on the South Side, police said today.

The teen was at a bus stop at 7 a.m. Friday when three men drove up in a car. The car stopped, and a man got out and grabbed the girl in a bear hug and dragged her into the car.

The girl managed to fight off her offenders and escape.

The incident occurred in the 2500 block of 71st Street.

Police are looking for the men and their car, a white, older model Cadillac 4-door sedan with a blue interior.

The first suspect is a 24-year-old black male, 5'6" tall, weighing 249 lbs. He has brown eyes, a thin beard from ear to ear and a scar on his left forearm. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, batting gloves and a scarf on his head. His nickname may be "Black," police said.

The second suspect is a black male, 18- to 19-years-old, 5'9" tall and weighing 170 to 180 lbs. He was wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans with black straps and batting gloves. Police said his nickname might be "Mooky."

The third suspect is a black male with a light complexion. No further information about him was available.
