Archdiocese offers burial space for Cook County morgue bodies

Two dozen of the several hundred corpses that officials allowed to accumulate at the Cook County medical examiner's office are receiving a proper burial today.

Controversy erupted over news reports that some 360 bodies are stored at the morgue, which is designed for 300. In response, the Archdiocese of Chicago offered burial space and funeral services, according to Fox Chicago.

Today's will be led by Cardinal Francis George at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
