Two high school students waiting for a bus Monday morning were seriously wounded in a drive-by shooting, police said.

The boys, both 15-year-old sophomores, were in critical condition after the 7:15 a.m. shooting in the 7100 block of South Damen Avenue, according to Chicago Police spokeswoman Laura Kubiak.

One teenager was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to his thigh. The other was transported to Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm, police said. The condition of both boys had been upgraded to stable by Monday afternoon, Kubiak said.

The boys, who ride city buses to school, attend Hubbard High School at 6200 South Hamlin Avenue and Harper High School at 6520 S. Wood Street. 

Police have no suspects.
