Man shot in mini-market

Police are looking for a gunman who wounded a man at a Rogers Park convenience store.

A cashier at the Edgewater Mini-Market at 1215 W. Devon saw a man holding a chrome hand-gun enter the store at 11 a.m. Friday, police said.

The man began yelling and chasing another customer around his store. The cashier hid in a back room and heard gun-shots seconds later, police said.

The gunman shot the victim in the arm and then ran from the scene. He did not take anything in from the store, police said.

Say what? The store owner got killed, hit style. No robbery. This was premeditated.

It's really sad. He was a really nice guy. I just concerned for the neighborhood, good people in our neighborhood are affected and I think we should become more aware. This really should be bigger news, because I don't think a lot of people about this.
