Chicago Bloggers have a website with one of coolest navigation metaphors around -- the transit system's color-oriented map.

The blogs are displayed according to the subway stop nearest to the blogger's lair. Anyone with a blog in Chicago and suburbs can register their blog.

It is winter, but there is an opportunity to get out and meet with some bloggers, too.

On January 18th at 6:15 p.m. bloggers and people interested in blogging are invited to meet at 33 E. Congress, Room 219, to discuss "Search engines and audience building" and to do some networking and socializing.

There is no charge but you can donate $2.00 to help pay for refreshments if you like. To RSVP and get more details, go to blog.meetup.com/351/events/4820344/

Next month, we are going to have a speaker on "Copyright issues for bloggers." If you are interested in blogs -- and with those mid-term elections on the horizon there is lots to write about, come on out.
